P&O Ports established P&O Trans Australia (POTA) in 1989 and during the 90s developed it into a port logistics operation across key Australian ports.
In 2006, DP World (Dubai Ports) acquired the 86 ports that P&O Ports operated in 19 countries.
In 2007, recognising the value of POTA, DP World sold a controlling stake in POTA and P&O Automotive and General Stevedoring (POAGS) to a consortium headed by industry leaders including Chris Corrigan. Guided by this new management group, POTA has become Australia’s single biggest provider of integrated port logistics services.
Today, POTA continues to expand its logistics portfolio with a focus on delivering integrated customised solutions.
